A recent green purchasing report by business partnership London Remade has bestowed the London Metropolitan Police with the title of the U.K. capital's greenest purchasers.
According to the report, the metropolitan police spent an excess of £1 million on recycled-content products last year. These findings were based on evaluations of buying behaviour of leading public and private sector signatories to The Mayor's Green Procurement Code - an initiative designed to help organisations source and buy products with recycled content.
